Saying Goodbye to the Sun at the Winter Solstice metal print by CHAZ Daugherty.   Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The celebration of the Solstice of the sun is an ancient practice. The winter Solstice on the 21st of December, marks the longest night of the year, but also welcomes the beginning of the days to start growing longer until the Summer Solstice on June 21st when once again daylight starts receding.
